Fire Risk Assessment and Consultancy
The protection from fire of people and property is a fundamental requirement of the design and construction of a building that continues for the lifetime of the premises. Responsibility for satisfying statutory regulations passes from the designers to the management once the property is occupied. The functional nature of the current regulations necessitates a level of fire safety expertise that often requires the knowledge of a professional fire engineer.
The senior staff at FC&T are Chartered Engineers with extensive fire engineering experience. We can therefore offer services covering a wide range of client needs for premises both large and small. At the design and construction stage, we offer Building Regulations and Means of Escape advice, from Approved Document B to strategic fire design consultancy based on fire safety engineering. For existing premises, we will conduct formal fire risk assessments and assist clients in accordance with the requirements of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. We are also pleased to negotiate with the fire authorities, insurers, etc. on behalf of clients and to provide expert advice on specific fire issues.
